The ground was ready – smooth, bright, like a stage before the first note.
And then these street-find shelves came into play: studio shelves with a pegboard back, filled with paints over the years, like a small treasure trove.

At some point, this shelf stood above the painting. I picked out colors – relinquished control, Frank took over: poured, dripped, spread through the holes.

No brush, no plan in the classic sense – rather a shared moment where the color was allowed to decide where it wanted to land.

Thus, a lacquered ground became a frequency in splashes, swirls, and small explosions.
A painting like a summer evening: a bit wild, quite tender – and with just the right amount of chaos you want in your life.
