Familiar was created using a manual spray technique: lacquer is applied in fine layers with a spray gun, forming soft transitions that resemble light in mist. The surface remains calm, almost weightless – and at the same time full of depth. In the center, the image condenses into a form that many viewers find reminiscent of something living – without being explicit. This is precisely where the tension lies: the color palette remains subtle and atmospheric: shades of blue, warm shadows, gentle highlights. Familiar appears like a moment between appearing and disappearing – fascinating, enchanting, serene.
